Darjeeling

Description

A Darjeeling – predominantly black tea – may only bear its name if it actually comes from the tea gardens of Darjeeling in The Indian West Bengal. Its first cultivation dates back to the British colonial era. This later led to the growth of an entire tea industry with around 80 large plantations. There is harvested several times a year: a first picking in spring (first flush and flight tea), the second plough (second flush) and the summer and autumn picking (In-between and Autumnal).
