Description
Sencha is Asia’s most popular tea variety. It is actually from Japan, but as China Sencha it soon spread in the Middle Kingdom. The Chinese, however, make this green tea a little differently: while the Japanese use water vapor, China Sencha, like Gunpowder, is briefly roasted to stop the fermentation and to preserve the green leaf color and the valuable ingredients.
